You’ve probably noticed by now, but GrayMalin.com got a little (okay, a BIG) makeover! This revamp of our site has been in the works for quite some time, which makes the final product even more special. My team and I are so pleased with how it turned out, and today I wanted to introduce you to some of the new features and elements on the site that will make your browsing even better than before.
Overall with this site redesign, we not only wanted to bring you all a beautiful and clean aesthetic, but we also wanted to focus on easing the browsing experience. It was designed with an emphasis on its thoughtful search-ability, and I hope it makes it even easier for you all to find that perfect piece of artwork to add to your space. Keep reading to see how we’ve broken it down…
Nifty Navigation
As I mentioned, we really wanted to focus on making it easy to search the site for pieces you love—even if you’re a first-time visitor and are new to my work. So, with that in mind, we added simplified categories on our homepage to get you exactly where you want to go. I’m hoping this will be tremendously helpful for those of you who are new to the site and may not know exactly what images are in what series. Instead, you’ll be able to search according to your desired theme, format, or destination to pick out the perfect piece for your home! Or, if you want to get to know each series or are already a long-time fan of one in particular, simply click on the “Series” tab to head to a landing page where you’ll see each collection broken down into easy-to-navigate (and pretty to look at) boxes.
Shop By Room
One of my favorite new features on the site is the ability to shop by individual rooms and styles. To get there, hit the “Explore” tab and click on “Shop by Room” (or click here to dive right in). Here you’ll be able to select a room you’re looking to decorate, then scroll through different décor styles with recommended prints to fit that style. Whether you’re looking for something specific or just want to get some inspiration, this feature is so useful and so fun at the same time.
Shop By Scale
We often get calls to the office with questions about scale, and we wanted to create this feature with exactly those concerns in mind. I know it can be hard to shop online for artwork that you’ve never seen in person, so we have been so excited to add the option to “Shop by Scale” (which can also be found under the “Explore” tab, or go straight to it here). We’re hoping that this will give customers a great point of reference when deciding between sizes and eventually choosing the perfect size to add to their space.
Natural Wood Framing
As of today, we’re officially offering the option to frame your GM prints in a beautiful natural wood frame! I’m so excited about this, as it adds a completely new feel to prints that we’ve had hanging around for years. Made of high quality natural wood, it adds the perfectly warm, yet clean and chic touch to any space it hangs in. (Plus, to kick off the release, we’re offering FREE framing all week long!) Since you’re here you’ve probably noticed—the blog got a major overhaul as well, and I couldn’t be more excited about it. Not only did we want to make it more visually appealing, but it is also now searchable AND shop-able.
