Interior Designers: Start with Art - Mary Beth Wagner Interiors

Hi Everyone!

Who's ready for some home decor inspiration? We’re back with another Start with Art post featuring interior designer Mary Beth Wagner of Mary Beth Wagner Interiors. We love how she styled her colorful prints from Gray’s Coral Casino series in her home to contrast with the wallpaper and accessories in the room. Keep reading for more in the space from Mary Beth.

I have always wanted to be an interior designer since I was a child. I loved going to Ralph Lauren and antique  shops with my mom at a young age and continued  into my high school years. I specialize in residential and doing remodels and custom builds. 

How would you define your interior design style?

My style I would say is eclectic and I range from traditional to transitional with a mix of antiques and new pieces.

 

What drew you to each of these prints?

I fell in love with the pink and white beach balls! The print just made me so happy and I loved the colors in the coral casino.

 

What did you pick out as the most important elements of the prints to incorporate into the space? How did you use the prints as a design guide? 

The color of the pool with the pink accents really complimented the wallpaper in the bathroom. The beach balls really help tie the pink in the rug together in the space . They are a softer pink but relate.

 

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone who wants to design a space and start with art?

Pick the art that you love and then work the room around it. It does not have to always match the rest of the space.
