I am sure you probably already know that Nantucket is a very special place to me. There are so many elements of this New England coastal haven that have inspired me to create imagery - from my aerial beach photography capturing the gorgeous beaches and iconic lighthouses in my À la Plage series, to my new dreamy series Gray Malin on Nantucket, I couldn't be happier to partner with one of my favorite restaurants on the island to bring this once-in-a lifetime immersive experience to life in this breathtaking nautical setting. It has been so rewarding seeing the moments I envisioned come to life through my collaboration with the CRU team! Cru Beach by Gray Malin is truly an artistic vision, and I hope this very special activation inspires you all, just as much as Nantucket has for me.
The inspiration for Cru Beach first came to me after the success of my recent winter activation in Aspen, Snow Beach. I wanted to bring the same vibrant energy that Snow Beach had to one of my favorite coastal destinations, and to my favorite restaurant, complete with amazing views and nautical vibes!
Inspired by the classic beach clubs I've photographed around the world and the idyllic New England coastal haven of Nantucket, Cru Beach invites you to lounge in the sunshine while overlooking iconic Nantucket harbors.Curating an entire world of Gray Malin, I designed the cabanas, chaise-lounges and chairs, and included special touches like a lifeguard tower and surfboards, as well as my Gray Malin outdoor pillows, ice buckets and acrylic trays adorned with my artwork, allowing a fully immersive experience where guests could literally step into one of my photographs.
Cru Beach boasts an amazing patio with sweeping harbor views where guests can relax and enjoy the good life with five star Food & Beverage pairings! I want everyone who visits Cru Beach to have an unforgettable experience where they can create long lasting summer memories and take their own unique “Gray Malin" inspired pictures.
