Hi Everyone,

Please join me asSivan Aylatakes us on a tour of her home and shows off a her collectionof framed Gray Malin prints. Her favorite takes her back to the country where she spent her honeymoon, Italy. Then, she opted to weave acouple other small framed pieces into her decor, to help inspire us all to decorate with a little bit of an'expect the unexpected' mentality. Let's meet Sivan and see where she works, lives, and her approach to it all...

"I am a true Valley girl. I was raised on Maui but have been living in the Valley since moving back to California 15 years ago. Currently I am focused on growing my lifestyle blog, which revolves around elegant luxury in a very attainable way. I love to travel, entertain, cook, craft, and of course, decorate my home, but I’ve had to learn to do so in a realistic way. Most days you will find me with my 2 puppies (who I love more than life) following me around the house as I try new recipes, take photos for the blog, and later pop a bottle of rosé with my husband. And yes, I do make my donuts from scratch—they are baked, not fried—and they have actual rosé in them. You’ll have to try them one day :)"

When asked why she chose this print in particular, Sivan had this to say

"My husband and I have a serious love affair with Italy. He surprised me on our way home from our honeymoon with a stop in Lake Como, and it had been my first time to Italy. I absolutely fell in love with the country and knew the next big trip we took had to be back to Italy to see more. This past summer we celebrated our first wedding anniversary in the Amalfi Coast (we followed Gray’s Capri travel guide, btw) and so I knew I had to have Italy framed somewhere in my house. The Monterosso print sits right above my desk so I can stare at it while I work and dream about my next trip to Italy!"

Her and her husband also have a dreamy view of Capri in their bedroom..

Moving into other parts of her home, Sivan explains her take on home decor.

"There is a strong global influence in my house. It probably has a lot to do with my love for travel and culture, but each room has pieces from different countries—Morocco, Africa, Scandinavia, Italy, Greece. I would consider my style pretty eclectic since I love to mix themes. I’m not afraid of taking risks in my home so you will often find a vibrant rug or chair that will make its way around the house until I make it work. I have a serious problem where I like to move my furniture around weekly. Every time my husband comes home from work he feels like he is walking into a new house."

There's also a pop from Bolivia with the Llamas White Balloons chilling at the entry way to her backyard...where Sivan often takes to working outside with her pooches.. Sivan Ayla at Home - Gray Malin artwork

weather permitting, of course. Living in Southern California, though it's probably as often as she'd like, for the most part. 844A4352_1

Making our way back in, I asked her one of my favorite questions, which is-_ Who are the 4 people, alive or dead,** that you'd most want at your dinner party?**_ unspecified-3

Her answer?

"Audrey Hepburn, Sarah Jessica Parker, Justin Bieber, and Stevie Nicks. Self explanatory, right?"

Haha! I guess the answer is self explanatory to whoever answers it, right? I wouldn't mind joining that dinner party, though. I especially, love the idea of Sivan prepping for thedinner in her kitchen and havinga little CURRENT MOOD keeping hercompany.

And, there you have it! Thanks so much to Sivan for letting us into your fab home! I hope you all found something that inspired you as well as some new ideas of places in your home to incorporate framed artwork in. Whether it's small, medium, large, diptych or triptych...now is the time to get the framed piece of your dreams

Cheers
