The nominations are in andit won't be long now until we know who the winners are...that's right,Oscar weekend is upon us. We're already prepped for our Oscar Viewing Party, and we can't wait to cheer on our favorites. Speaking of that, we've been reading up on all of the predictions via the likes of Vanity Fair and Variety. It's always fun to have an enthusiastic conversation with friends and fellow cinephiles on who we think should win! In the spirit of a playful debate,we thought we'd share our picks for the statuette know as Oscar, and in true Team GM fashion...take it one step further and pair the winner with itscorresponding GM print.

BEST PICTURE -Get Out

Wow. Talk about a movie that really has gotten people...well, talking! This was a tough choice as we really loved this movie, but Call Me by Your Name and Lady Bird were also major favorites for us, too. For us, though Get Out is the ultimate stand out and for its GM pairing, it was an obvious choice. If you've seen it, then you know, and if you haven't...well, we won't ruin it for you.

BEST ACTRESS -Saoirse Ronan,Lady Bird

Oh, Lady Bird, how we loved thee! We knowFrances McDormand for_Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri_is favored for the win, which is absolutely deserved, but for us, it's all about Saoirse Ronan. We may not be able to pronounce her real name but for her title character, Lady Bird, this particular print feels very apropos.

BEST ADAPTED SCREENPLAY - James Ivory, Call Me by Your Name

What can be said about Call Me by Your Name that hasn't already been said? It was such a tremendous film from its compelling story to an excellent cast, not to mention set in a stunning location. Speaking of the location, shall we getaway to our Italian Villa, now?

BEST ORIGINAL SONG - "This Is Me"

Okay. We loved this film. Aside from loving it in its entirety, we were also blown away by Keala Settle aka The Bearded Woman, who delivered an extremely powerful performance of the song, "This Is Me." The GM pairing required an equally strong presence, and it doesn't get much more demanding than Mister Parker, himself.

Did your picks for the win make our list? Needless to say, there was a lot to choose from this year, and we admittedly still have a few to still see..something to look forward to! We're also excited to see what the stars will be wearing while they stroll the red carpet. Total guilty pleasure, we know. We'll be consuming it all in real time and of course, reading all of the behind the scene moments on Monday.

Enjoy the weekend and cheers to Oscar night!

xx Team GM
