Captivated by the country’s natural beauty, Gray ventured to a remote farm in Southwestern Iceland to capture the majesty of Iceland’s native horses. Working with a local hairstylist and trained horse farmer, Gray created a whimsical series of portraits inspired by the Icelandic horses’ long flowing manes. Each horse was styled on-site in distinctive hairstyles that allowed each animal their own unique personality. This series celebrates the beauty of the equine through Gray’s playful lens.
