Hi Everyone,

It's the first week of January 2017, and I'm reminiscing about my last two trips to Utah: January 2015 and 2016. To celebrate the snowy kick off to the year,I thought I'd do a highlight on thebeautiful state of Utah and the snow spread mountains I captured for my Aerial Ski series as well as enjoyed from the ground.

When I went in 2015, I had a really great helicopter pilot, Dave, who grew up in the area so he was filled with a lot of information like how thisPark City slope was one of the primary event locations for the 2002Olympics.. Gray Malin - Ski Utah - Park City ParkCitySnowboarderShop

Or thatthe Canyons Resort ski lift is called the Orange Bubble Express, and it has heated seats!

From below, I enjoyed spending time with my friend, Sophie of Angel Food Style, and touring her family's Deer Valley vacation home. Her Mom certainly stole my heart with her choice of framed winter photography to use when decorating this stunning home...

I alsoenjoyed spending time atVeuve Clicquot's yurt at the Montage Hotel with Jacey Duprie of Damsel in Dior. I'll be heading back in a few weeks, too. Stay tuned for something really fun from me and the Montage Hotel! IMG_6462

Fun fact: Jacey and her husband went on one of my first Aerial Ski photo shoots. It was a freezing yet memorableexperience soaring above Aspen with this one! I think it's fair to say that once the work was done, we enjoyed a bit of Aprés Ski for our efforts.

From Sundance to Deer Valley to Park City and all of the other powdery slopes, I highly encourage you skiers and snow lovers out there to Ski Utah! It's the kind of getaway that is perfect for this time of year, and then of course, don't forget that you can escape year round with a snowy image of your own!

Cheers GM
