Where to Stay

Cape View Cliftonis the best place to stay in my opinion. Aside from incredible service, beautiful rooms and delicious food - this hotel offers the absolutebest views of Clifton Beach. I wouldn't blame you if you simply wanted to sit outside on their deckfrom morning coffee to sunset sips.

Gray Malin - Sea Point Swimming Pool

TheSea Point Swimming Poolsare the perfect way to get a little bit of exercise while checking out one of the city's local attractions. This public swimming pool center is scenically located right along the Atlantic Ocean; depending on when you'revisiting, it's a great alternative to the ocean, when the water is a bit too cold for a dip.

Once you've cleaned up from your swim, it'll be time for shopping. Head toBree Street, where you'll find some of the cutest shops, restaurants, and bars for an afternoon cocktail. Then, take a detour down to the very cool concept store, Merchants on Long.In fact, it's Africa's first concept store, and it is the kind of boutique that you can simply get lost in.

Beach Day + New Friends

Muizenberg Beach Waves

Muizenberg Beachis a beautiful place to spend the day. The water is warm and shallow, so it's great for those traveling with kids as well asfor a surf lesson, if you're feeling extra adventurous.

Up next, it's time for a quick 30 minute ride south to visit the penguins atBoulders Penguin Colony. There's no need to change out of your suit, though asyou'll definitely want to play in the sand, once you're there.

Camps Bay Pool, Cape Town - Gray Malin

I know I've already mentioned a pool but Camps Bay Pool is different from Sea Point in that it's a rock pool, which is part swimming pool, part ocean rock pool and, thus definitely worth a visit! Honestly, everything aboutCamps Bayis a must see from the beach to Table Mountain. In particular, I recommend taking ahikeon one of the various trails in the area; explore along therugged Atlantic coast and take in the breath taking views that are all around you.

Once you've worked up an appetite, you will be veryready for a late lunch that will perhaps turn into "sundowner" sips. My two recommendations are equally delicious but with contrasting settings, so you'll need to decide if you wantTinswalowhich is located along the ocean with stunning views of Table Mountain or stay up in the skies atThe Rumbullion at the Roundhousefor views for miles. Honestly, you can't go wrong at either place, so if there's time, I'd suggest trying them both at your leisure.

I could keep going but as I said at the beginning, I kept thisa top line list. If you've been or know anyone who has been, then you are already awarethat those who have been can go on and on when it comes to things to do and see in Cape Town. I hope you enjoyed hearing about a few of my favorites...to see more, keep exploring rightHERE.

Cheers,
