Hi Everyone! Today is an exciting day because we’re kicking off our Italy Sale Event on graymalin.com. For a limited time, you can take 25% off all Italy prints! To kick off the sale, we have a special Start with Art feature highlighting a few Italy favorites, including The Loungers, La Fontelina. We love how Louisa tied these prints into the design to create a beautiful Italian escape in her master bedroom. Keep reading for all of Louisa’s tips and design details...

Hi! I’m Louisa from @grapevine_interiors. I started my career in New York City’s art market where I had exposure to great art, furniture, and design. I got sidetracked with a decade-long career in finance, but always knew that I wanted to return to a more creative vocation, and while renovating my house I decided to switch gears and pursue my passion for interior design. Grapevine Interiors is a full service interior design firm founded in 1991 by Tris Nuland, and I joined the firm in 2014. We are based in Duxbury but our projects have ranged from urban to suburban and from waterfront to mountain homes.

How would you define your interior design style?

We love mixing traditional and modern styles and creating interiors that are personal and wear well with active families. I have two little boys ages 6 and 8, so I can appreciate the need for furnishings to withstand real life.

What drew you to prints from Gray's La Dolce Vita Series?

I took a birthday trip to Capri last June with my husband. It was a short four night getaway but we had a blast and I was inspired by the colors and chic style all over the island. Gray’s Dolce Vita Series reminds me of relaxing in the sun at Il Fontelina and makes me smile.

What did you pick out as the most important elements of the print to incorporate into the space?

The beautiful shade of Mediterranean blue in the prints work great with rattan, coral, and brass tones and then the crisp navy and white umbrellas match the room’s fun draperies.

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone who wants to design a space and start with art?

Good art makes any room really pop and become “interesting” and color photography is one of the easiest mediums to work with since it mixes well with contemporary furnishings and antiques.

Thank you so much for sharing your space with us, Louisa! It’s so beautiful and definitely inspiring us. Turn your home into your own Italian oasis with 25% off all Italy prints right now.

Cheers!
