Hi Everyone,

I’m so excited to be sharing another fabulous home tour with you today. If you’ve had your eye on a beach aerial from my collection, but aren't sure which one you want, this home is sure to serve up some major décor inspiration for you. For today’s tour, we’re heading to Redondo Beach to see a fabulous family home that’s just minutes from the water. I love how Sara and her husband Brandon incorporated so many of my pieces into different areas of their home. I always love seeing how other people style my work! It’s a great reminder how truly universal so many of my photographs are. Anyways, without further ado, let’s head to Redondo!

Hi Sara, do you mind telling us a little bit more about yourself?

Hi there! I’m from New York and my husband Brandon is from Virginia, though we’ve been in California about 10 years… L.A.is definitely our home now. We used to spend most of our nights out with friends or at concerts around L.A. (we met at one!) but ever since our son Miles was born we definitely spend much more time at home!

Could you tell us a little bit about what you do, and more about life with your adorable family?

I work in PR for several baby brands, and while I’ve been doing it for years, it’s become a lot more fun since I became a mom myself!Brandon works for Ticketmaster/Live Nation handling business development for their music festival business. We’re lucky to both work from home and that we have an amazing nanny who takes care of Miles and always pops him into our office for a visit.

What do you love about living so close to the beach in Redondo?

We’ve lived by the beach ever since we moved to L.A. so when we decided we were ready to buy our first home, we knew being close to the water was a must for us.Brandon’s a big runner and he basically said as long as he could run to the beach within minutes, he would be happy. It’s been a lot of fun being in a completely new neighborhood… so much to explore! Miles loves playing in the sand and we’ve been trying to spend as much time outdoors as possible.

Can you tell us a little bit more about your home?

Our house has fourbedrooms and threebathrooms. One of the downstairs bedrooms has double doors to our small backyard so that is the room we chose for our office. It gets a ton of air and light, which makes sitting at a computer all day not so bad. We have high ceilings in our bedroom and a big open main area that serves as the living room, dining room, andkitchen. There are white mouldings throughout the house so we contrasted with light grey for the walls.Design-wise we are pretty eclectic. In our living room we have a well-loved, cozy oversized leather chair but very modern lightfixtures, and a Southwestern style rugwith a farmhouse dining table. Somehow it all works!

Does your personal fashion style align with your interior décor style? If so, how?

I think so. We both love similar color palettes that we seem to be drawn to both for fashion and for home design—muted greys, blues, greens, and whites with pops of color. We both tend to adopt new trends, but in an authentic way that never feels like we are dressing (or decorating!) like people we aren’t.

When were you first introduced to the GM brand? What was your first piece?

I actually purchased my very first Gray Malin from Gray himself at Lauren Conrad + The Little Market’s Holiday pop-up several years ago! My friend Rachel (who works both with Lauren and Gray) invited me and my first print was I Am Busy Balloons which went straight into my office at the time and is still in our office today.

As the collection grew, what was the thinking behind each selection? What is your draw to beach-focused prints? What do you like about the Gray Malin at the Parker collection?

So many of the places that Gray shoots are places so close to our hearts that it’s impossible not to want them all.We have created so many special memories through our travels together in Hawaii, Australia, Italy, the Caribbean, and of course all over California. We spend a lot of time in Palm Springs as well, so when we saw the Gray Malin at The Parker series we immediately knew it would be perfect for Miles’nursery.

Lastly, what about the Gray Malin lifestyle brand do you connect with the most?

We love that his minimalist yet playfully vibrant style really resonates with ours.

Thank you so much for sharing your home with us, Sara! I’m so excited your family enjoys all of the art in your home and it makes me so happy knowing that so many of my pieces are able to connect with you personally. To all you readers, I hope you loved this tour as much as I did. If you're as inspired by these pictures as I am, head over to the site to pick up a beach aerial of your own!

Xx

Cheers!
