Hi Everyone

I hope you’ve all had a chance to take explore our Free Framing and Shipping promotion on graymalin.com. Today is the last day to shop, so for those of you who haven’t hit checkout yet, I wanted to share a beautiful home tour to help you narrow down your decision. I always love to see how others style my art in their homes, especially when their style is so different than my own. Today, we’re visiting the home of Michelle Berdan in Marina Del Rey, California. You may be familiar with Michelle from her Instagram or blog! I’m so thrilled Michelle was willing to take the time to share her home with all of us. Without further ado, let’s get started!

Hi Michelle, Thank you so much for welcoming us into your beautiful home! Do you mind telling our readers a little bit about yourself?

I moved to Marina Del Rey in September and have fallen in love with living by the beach! I’ve lived in a handful of places in Los Angeles - Downtown, Echo Park, West Hollywood - but I can’t imagine moving away from the westside after being here now. I started my blog a little over eight years ago and still enjoy spending my days sharing about what’s happening in the fashion, beauty, and home design industries. Aside from that, my favorite moments are spent taking long walks on the beach listening to podcasts, going to our local farmers market on the weekend, hosting friends and family for dinner, trying new recipes, and the never-ending and always enjoyable process of decorating my home.

Your career seems so interesting! Can you give us a little peek into what you do?

I collaborate with fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands by introducing them or their new products to my audience on social media! I love doing my research and then thinking of creative ways to share about companies in a way that’s relevant, relatable, and interesting. A typical day is photo and video content of things like what I’m wearing, how I’m doing my hair or makeup, or new launches in skincare. Not a bad gig, right!? I’ve loved sharing more of my home decorating lately too!

Will you tell us a little bit about your home?

My apartment is about 1500 square feet - a three-bedroom spot located in the Marina Del Rey peninsula. My favorites parts are the high vaulted ceilings and how close it is to the sand. It is simple and white, which has made it a fun place to decorate with endless possibilities.

How would you describe your interior decor style?

I have always loved modern and minimal design but in the last year, I’ve also leaned into a California coastal aesthetic that is bright and neutral with lots of wood accents.

How do you balance your home life with your blog and business?

It’s been a little tricky since social media is a business that thrives at all hours of the day. I am a big fan of to-do lists and try to start my week with goals and time-blocking exercises to keep myself on track. It’s also been very helpful to be married to someone who works on more of a traditional workday schedule and I tend to plan my work hours around his so that we can do life together.

When were you first introduced to the GM brand? What was your first piece?

I’ve been a fan of GM for years! I was first introduced when his coffee books and artwork exploded on Instagram and I’d always hoped to have some pieces in my home. I’ve had the Beaches coffee table book for a couple of years and just got my Triptych and Prada Marfa when I moved to the beach last year.

Can you tell us a little bit more about what inspired your print choices?

The Wailea Triptych was an obvious choice as I was embracing this new season of my life. I’ve been in California for most of my life and this is the first time I’ve lived near the coast. Two Horses, Prada Marfa felt like a nod to my Texas roots and also working in the fashion industry for the last ten years. It also has all of the neutral and brown tones in it that I’ve decorated my home with.

What about the Gray Malin lifestyle brand do you connect with?

To me, Gray Malin is about exploring the world and the outdoors and appreciating its beauty. When I look at his work, it inspires me to travel, be present, and take all the moments to enjoy life.

Isn’t her home absolutely stunning? Michelle, thank you again for sharing your beautiful space with us and taking time to share about your home, life, and career. Make sure to stay up to datewith Michelle by following her on Instagram and checking out her blog.
