Hi Everyone,

Spring is in the air! And just like how the weather transitions from cold to warm, today's spotlight, Devon Rachel, brings up a very important transitional moment in all of our decorating lives..

"My interior style changes and matures as I get older, so I'm currently in the process of _ 'growing up _' my place. I look for clean lines and modern bohemian eclectic elements. I've learned less is sometimes more - a phrase that I never quite understood."

I think this is such an interesting comment and one that I believe we all can relate to as it has happened, happening, or absolutely will happen at some point for those younger readers. There is definitely a moment, usually sometime after college but not quite during that first post-college place, when we all start to think "What's my decorating style? And, how do I start making my home my style when I'm still learning what it is?"

With all of this in mind and with the serendipitous selection of Central Park by Devon for her home office, I thought it was the perfect time to showcase how she chose to decorate with her print from Au Parc.

But first, please allow me to let Devon introduce herself and tell us a little bit about her approach to decorating.

"I am originally from the great state of Texas, but have been an LA lady for almost 4 years. I am the owner and editor of DevonRachel.com, a fashion + lifestyle blog. I obviously love to shop, but I'm really into arranging flowers, baking, antique shopping and most importantly singing karaoke."

"I love to decorate with bright colorful prints that allow me to escape at any given moment. The photos and esthetic are amazing - Gray just gets it.I was instantly drawn to the Central Park printbecause of the pop ofcolors and life happening in the photo."

I especially love that she opted for a black frame over the white, it adds a bit more depth to this and really ties in her accessories, whether it be books or her fab shoe collection.

Aside from enjoying pops of color, another obsession Devon and I share are coffee table books, talking about some of her favorites, she answered much like I would..

"That is so hard to narrow down- I collect coffee table books! I'd have to say currently my favorite is Terry O'Neill. The photos are insane."

HA! Now, I have a new one to check out. I also can't wait for my first official book to launch. Devon, you'll for sure have a new one to add to your collection come May!

Thank you Devon for opening up your office to us and sharing what it's like to go through that transitional time in decorating...it's actually a super fun one and I can definitely say, you're already well on your way in making it one thats all your own.
