Gray's Musts: Gray’s Travel Skincare Routine

Hi Everyone,

In light of my recent trip around the world, I’ve received many messages on my @graymalinpersonal social media account asking how I manage to keep my skin so healthy, especially when I travel. As we all know, traveling can take a toll on your skin making it dry and causing unexpected breakouts. Therefore I have spent a lot of time trying to perfect my travel skincare routine and is something I take seriously.

Read on for my favorite 6 skincare products for when I’m on the go.

Fresh Skin

The foundation of my skincare routine is the Dr. Lancer 3-Step Method I use this when I travel and when I’m home and love that it comes in a convenient travel-sized kit that I can easily pack in my carry-on. I start off my routine by exfoliating and cleansing with the polish and the cleanser. The polish is pretty rough but it leaves my skin feeling smooth and is the perfect way to prep my skin for the rest of the products. After I exfoliate, I wash my face with the cleanser. This face wash makes my skin feel refreshed and healthy, but not overly dry like some cleansers do.

Hydration

Next comes hydration! Before I put on my moisturizer, I like to use this Kate Somerville Hydrating serumthat soothes and nourishes the skin (I can’t say enough good things about this product). This serum is a great base for my moisturizer, which comes right after but with a special weapon– I finish things off by combining a few drops of Dr. Lancer’s Omega Hydrating Oil with the moisturizer from his three-step method. This combination makes my skin feel plump and hydrated and is especially necessary during travel when my skin is particularly dry and sensitive. If you wear SPF then you would apply it on top of the moisturizer.

On the Plane

When I’m up in the air, Summer Fridays’ Jet Lag Mask is my go-to product. I apply a thick layer of this all over my face when I’m on an airplane and it’s the perfect way to keep my skin from getting dull from the stale air. It says to only leave it on for 15 minutes but I honestly leave it on the entire flight as it will not hurt your skin.

While it’s important to note that these are just the products that I’ve found to work for me, I hope this post helps or inspires all of you to find the right way to take care of your skin while you travel too!

Cheers!

Xx
