Hi Everyone!

First off, I hope you are having or, depending on when you're reading this, had a wonderful weekend. As for mine, it has been completely surreal as I just returned home from a difficult yet extremely successful photo shoot in Boliviato the news that an interview I recently did with New York Times was officially live. You see, it's moments like this that are so incredibly humbling to me that I can't help but take a moment to reflect. As a kid growing up in Dallas, I discovered photography and it ignited a lifelongpassion.To be able to transition something I love so much into a profession as an adult is a complete dream, and it's something that I'm thankful for every single day.

The thing that is especially extraordinary about this career is that it has offered me not only the opportunity to do what I love and explore the world, but it has also placed me in unique opportunities to meet new and interesting people. For example, the talented writer or this New York Times piece, Sheila and I met almost two years ago but we kept in touch and at some point along the line she reached out to discuss the possibility of doing a profile piece. Naturally, the idea of New York Times covering anything about the Gray Malin brand or myself is exciting, so my immediate answer was - of course.
