First Day of Fall Apple Cider Mimosa

Ingredients:

Champagne

apple cider

ground cinnamon

sugar

ground cloves

star anise (for garnish)

fresh apple (for garnish)

cinnamon sticks (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Combine the sugar and cinnamon on a plate for the rim of the cocktail. Coat the rim of your glasses with a little bit of butter and dip them into the mixture, gently twisting your glass if necessary, to create a sugared rim. This will give every sip a little extra sweetness!

  2. Fill glasses ¼ of the way up with apple cider. We used Martinelli’s, but feel free to substitute your favorite brand.

  3. Fill the rest of the glass with Champagne. If you prefer a less alcoholic drink, simply add more cider and less Champagne. This is a personal preference, so adjust the ratio to your liking. It will be delicious no matter what!

  1. Add a sprinkle of ground cloves.

  2. To garnish, thinly slice your fresh apple and cut a small notch in the middle of each slice to add to the rim of your glasses.

  3. Pop a cinnamon stick into each one, and finally, top each drink off with star anise floating on the surface for a truly delicious fall aroma.

And there you have it! The easiest, and most delectable way to kick off the new season. We’ll be making these all autumn long….
