Wow. Can you believe that it's almost September? This year definitely is flying by but just because summer is almost over doesn't mean you can't plan for future getaways. Starting with today in August through December, we're listing off our dream getaway by month and the reasons why it's the ideal time to be there.

AUGUST -Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

2016's Olympics may feel like forever ago but Rio de Janeiro still benefits from all of the updates and new additions made to the city in order to brace itself for the influx of tourism this time last year. New hotels, museums, and even entire districts were built or rebuilt in anticipation of the crowds, including the very cool and innovative Museum of Tomorrow, the modern Museo de Arte do Rio. With the iconic beaches, mountains and that certain_je ne sais quoi_ that only Rio de Janeiro possesses, if it's been on the list for a while, perhaps now is the time to make it happen?

SEPTEMBER - Sicily, Italy

From what we understand fromGray's travels to the southern most part of Italy, there might not be an actual bad time to visit Sicily.Warm winds blow across the Mediterranean and keep Sicily comfortably warm well into the fall, yet it's beautiful beaches are much less crowded in September. Aside from day's spent atop the sand, it's also worth a trip inside the city to take in the history. The architecture rivals Athens and the best place to take it all in isValley of theTemples, in the southern city of Agrigento, which is where the ancient world comes most vividly alive on the island.

OCTOBER - The Hamptons

Perhaps a bit counterintuitive to visit a destination that's known for all of it's summertime greatness butaside from the very dead of winter, the Hamptons are definitely a worthwhile destination during "off-season."Take advantage of lower hotel rates along with less crowded beaches for a walk, jog, or lounge with a low key picnic while enjoying the Atlantic. Also, lets not forget that you'll be on the east coast during prime fall foliage enjoyment, the drive through the charming streets and deeper into the country side are sure to be breathtaking.

NOVEMBER - Bhutan

October to December are actually the most popular months to visit Bhutan asthe air is clear and fresh with bright shining skies. With that in mind, you'll want to plan for this one but there's definitely still time or something to set your sights on for 2018. The thing do to? It's all about _trekking!_Definitely a trip for the adventurous type, strapping on your hiking boots and setting out for a day of exploringisa wonderful way to see the stunning scenery of this wonderful, lesser thought of to visitcountry. DECEMBER - Whistler, Canada

This was a tough choice but in the end we went traditional winter vibes for the getaway trip in December. For all yousporty types, December is a great time to hit the slopes in Whistler as the skiing conditions are at their peak. The Swiss Alps are another exciting place for a holiday ski trip not to mention thata trip to Aspen is always a welcomed adventure. If skiing into the new year isn't exactly what you had in mind, what about saying Bonjour to the City of Lightsduring a time that it's sure to really embrace that sentiment - literally and figuratively. Paris in December truly sounds like a romantic film in the making, but then again...St. Barths doesn't sound too shabby, either. Bottomline, there are plenty of places to choose from, so the real question is - where do you want to go?
