Hi Everyone,

I am really excited to introduce you all today to Ashley Fultz of The Style Editrix. I’ve known Ashley for years now through mutual friends and have really admired her honest perspective on starting her own blog, navigating motherhood, and lately have especially enjoyed her multitude of beauty & wellness tips.

Read more aboutAshley andsee how she styles her favorite GM pieces below!

Please tell us a little about yourself: where you live, what you like to do for fun, etc.

My name is Ashley and I am a TV Style Expert and Lifestyle Blogger in LA. My website is TheStyleEditrix.com and I cover all things fashion, beauty, travel and family. My husband and I bought a house in Toluca Lake almost four years ago when we were pregnant with our son Smith, who is now three years old. I love being a mom to Smith, owning my own business, and having the flexibility to juggle both. My husband and I love to travel and try new restaurants whenever we get the chance.

Your career is pretty multi-faceted, could you tell us a little bit about what you do?

I started my career at E! as the Fashion & Lifestyle Producer and left about 6 years ago to pursue starting my own business since I wanted to be on camera... instead of behind it producing. Since I left, I launched my fashion and lifestyle business TheStyleEditrix.com which houses all of my own original content including my fashion and beauty tips, must-haves products, travel guides, home design and family. It really encompasses my entire life. I also love being on camera as a TV Style Expert and have been on Access Hollywood, E! News, Extra TV, and the #1 morning news show in Los Angeles, KTLA.

When did you launch The Style Editrix? What was the catalyst behind creating it?

I launched it about 5 1/2 years ago when I left my job at E!, as a way to build my fashion editor resume and because I saw a huge shift in the fashion industry -- when bloggers were becoming more important than celebrities. It’s been such a fun journey and has allowed me to have my own autonomy over what I do and focus on, and the flexibility to work (and vacation) when I want. Most importantly, I am able to be home more to spend time with my son Smith.

Will you tell us a little bit about your home?

We bought our house in Toluca Lake, a suburb of Los Angeles, almost four years ago and it needed a lot of work. Luckily my husband is an interior architect and saw a diamond in the rough. While our house was built in the 1960’s, we made it very modern with all white walls, built-in speakers, recessed lighting, and moved a few walls around to create a better layout. The house is about 1,600 square feet and has 3 bedrooms, plus an office. We designed and furnished our house in a modern-glam style and love incorporating color into our rooms with bright & bold furnishings and art.

Does your personal fashion style align with your interior decor style? If so, how?

I do think my home and my personal style are very similar. Both are bright and upbeat, but also modern and simple. Not too trendy, but definitely always polished.

When were you first introduced to the GM brand? What was your first piece?

I learned about Gray about eight years ago and have been a huge fan ever since. My husband and I had been eyeing his pieces on One Kings Lane for a while and finally pulled the trigger on our Dawn Prada Marfa piece first.

As your collection grew, what was the thinking behind each selection?

We traveled to Italy years ago and it was by far our best trip ever, even until this day. We would love to live in Italy one day, but until them we knew the next best thing was to bring Italy into our home with Gray’s Italy collection, La Dolce Vita. The second piece we purchased was the Praiano photograph, which we knew would look amazing in our living room. The colors are so vibrant and we love the combination of beach and boats. Both pieces really put me in a good mood!

What about the Gray Malin lifestyle brand do you connect with?

Gray is so inspiring and I love how he is able to create such beautiful imagery in interesting landscapes all over the world. We love to travel and will continue to invest in his pieces from the places we visit.
