I have made trips to this beachy destination multiple times now, but with our sale in full-swing, I have been thinking of what recommendations I would make for any first-timers visiting this region.

There are so many things worth seeing in Sydney, but today I’m sharing five things that you simply can’t miss if you’re making the trip down under. From the absolute best beaches to world-renowned attractions, Sydney is a no-brainer to add to your bucket list. Keep reading to see what I mean, and jot down these five things for your first trip to Sydney, Australia…

5 Things to Do On Your First Trip to Sydney, Australia

1. Hit Bondi Beach & Icebergs Pool

Bondi Beach is one of the most famous beaches in the world—and for good reason! Not only does it offer stunning views and refreshing waters for vacationers and locals to lounge, but its impressive waves means it is also a great place for seasoned surfers. Plus, there’s an undeniably cool vibe here, complete with all the seaside shops and boutiques you could want. While you’re at Bondi, make sure to stop at the iconic Icebergs swimming club for a dip in their outdoor saltwater pool that borders the lapping waves of the ocean.

2. Cruise Sydney Harbor

Taking a boat or ferry ride around the Sydney Harbor is one of the easiest ways to pack a lot of sight-seeing into one outing. Not only is the harbor beautiful in and of itself, but there are also a handful of must-see landmarks bordering the shore. From the famous Sydney Opera House, to the Royal Botanic Gardens, to the Harbour Bridge and more, simply cruising around the harbor will keep you busy for hours. Plus, if your tour makes stops, you can always hop off to explore the attractions up-close.

3. Spot Wildlife at Taronga Zoo

You can’t go all the way to Australia without getting up close and personal with the unique wildlife, and the Taronga Zoo is a tourist-friendly way to do just that. You’ll see everything from giraffes, chimps, and elephants, to once-in-a-lifetime sights like the komodo dragon, and even pygmy hippos. Plus, for a fully immersive experience you can spend the night at the zoo in canvas tents overlooking the harbor, and get exclusive access to interacting with the animals.

4. Make the Trek to Coogee Beach

Ask almost anyone who has visited Sydney, and they’ll recommend taking the walk along the coast from Bondi to Coogee Beach. The walk is a little under four miles and is sure to provide endless views that you’ll never forget, but even if you drive, it’s worth making a stop at Coogee. Just slightly more laidback than Bondi, this beach is perfect for snorkeling and basking in the sun, as well as snacking on some delicious bites. But, if you can’t resist catching a few waves, this is another great beach for surfers and loungers alike.

5. Soar Above Sydney

I may be biased… but if you ask me, taking a plane or helicopter ride is quite possibly the best way to experience the landscape. Nothing beats the feeling you get when you can see miles of gorgeous scenery from above, especially in such a beautiful destination like Sydney. If you want to round out your experience even more, some terminals even offer sips and snacks like oysters and champagne before takeoff.

Which one of these things are you dying to do? Are you going to add Sydney to your list of places to see?

I can’t rave about Sydney enough, and I hope you all get the chance to visit this fun destination at least once. I promise you won’t regret it. In the meantime, don’t forget to shop our sale on all Sydney beach prints, right HERE.

Cheers!
