I'm super excited to share today's Inspiration Spotlight, Courtney of Always Judgingand hernewly decorated bedroom. It couldn't have turned out better and I absolutely love her cute reasoning behind choosingYellow Sheepfrom the Dream Series.
"I like the idea of sheep above my bed, it goes back to the whole counting sheep to fall asleep. I think its relaxing but still super cool to look at..."
Courtney and I had a chance to meet a few months ago, when she stopped by for a visit at the studio. She was well into her home decorating project so I asked her about what she gravitated towards when it came to interior design.
"This whole design aspect of decorating my house is all very new to me! I’m figuring out that I love clean and classic pieces in neutral colors. Although I like simple pieces I still love having a little bohemian twist in my house. Also, loving mid century modern pieces when it comes to furniture. I know, so cliche, but the mid century pieces are just so good, and timeless!"
Haha! It's definitely not a cliche when it comes to your 'happy place,' which Courtney tells me is indeed her home...
"My house. I feel like my house is a compound and I shouldn’t have to leave for anything! I have everything I need here. I try to make my friends come here when they want to hang out instead of going to dinner or going out."
This is something I can certainly understand and do the same! Chatting more about having fun at home, we got on the subject of the ultimate dinner party guest list and Courtney's did not disappoint as she easily named off these cool 4 guests..

Establishing that we both love being at home was quickly followedwith talk of where we were off to next, which is par for the course these days. Courtney's next trip is to Thailand, and as for me? It's looking like I might be enjoying my happy place for a bit longer before jetting off, which suits me just fine. Courtney has me thinking about how I might need a bit more Yellow Sheep counting in my bedroom.
