We are excited to invite you along inside Julia of Lemon Stripeshome. Juliaand her husbandare recent transplants to Connecticut viaManhattan in order to be close to Julia's dayjob as theMarketing Director for a new healthy snack company called Nourish Snacks. As for her other full time job and "baby", Lemon Stripes documents all of Julia'sadventures in fashion, healthy cooking and our favorite, home decor.
As you will see with of Julia's very pinnable images, one of the things that I love most about herdecorating style is it incorporates two relatable practices, which are: using decorative photography thatevoke sweet memories of special moments andwall decor photography that shares a bit of her sense of humor through it. As we make our way through the tour, I'll show you what I mean.
Fresh flowers, coffee table books, and delicious smelling candles give this room a sense of home, and the placement of herPositano Town print above thecouch sets the stage to tell its story. Julia and her husband spent their honeymoon on the Amalfi Coast, and " this print takes us back to when I surprised him with a chartered boat. We visited all the incredible little towns along the coast, swam in grottos, and drank too many glasses of Prosecco."
She goes on to say that "one of my favorite memories from that day was a sunset dinner overlooking a view reminiscent ofthis print. I get tears in my eyes just thinking about it! Positanois so near and dear to our hearts, so it feels nice to have it hanging in the room we use the most." In the spirit of taking aRomantic Getaway, we put together a collection of images from some of the most popular places for love.

Julia's decorating style is all about bright, light, colorful and clean. Her dream home is " full of decor that I collect from around the world, but tied together with preppy staples like my custom navy and white striped club chair." With the help of her friends at The Havenly, she has created a " Preppy-chic" space full of classic clean pieces that tell her story.
Growing up, Julia had the opportunity to travel with her familyto many beautiful countries, eat incredible food, and learn about different cultures, which is why she connects so closely with Gray Malin decorative photography. "Seeing the way Gray captures places that I've visited makes me nostalgic for those trips." says Julia.
She also owns a print from the Aqua Glam series, Graceful Glam I, above her dining room table. " I find it hilarious that I have synchronized swimmers next to us while we eat. I wouldn't have it any other way." Julia says she picked this print because it's whimsical and she loves the turquoise and red color- combo.
